CESSNA 172 AIR BOX INSTALLATION & AIR BOX BRACKET

The instructions below will cover the proper way to install our air box and support bracket in your Air Plains upgrade.

Apply a very thin bead of silicone to the airbox surface where it will make contact to the adaptor plate.

Use provided bolt for the left rear attachement. Do no tighten all the air box fastners. They should be loose until all components are together.

Once all the hardware is assembled tighten all the fasteners to ensure that the air box is installed without any binding or jamming. If your support bracket is too short it may need an aluminum filler plate between the bracket and the airbox. If the bracket is too long make sure you are using the correct attachement holes in the air box. Our bracket is identical to the factory size and although it should work with minimal modification it may require you to rework the bracket.
